At some point, the color of a piece of technology became just as important, if not more important, than the actual functionality of the product.  Often you will see the same phone or MP3 player in three to six different colors to try and draw people in.  However, pink devices will always be for those with more feminine impulses (whether male or female).

Stan, unlike many mortals, doesn’t really care about the color but he still doesn’t want to give the wrong impression.  He is in school and Chuck would tear him apart if he showed up with a pink phone.  Chuck’s just mean like that.  Zombies could care less though as long as they get a commission.
