A Little Scary

What to say for a first post other than maybe: It’s been a long time coming.

A Little Scary started it’s life in 2004 when I first got bored and started doodling in MS-Paint of all things and made the rough draft of what would later become Deiter. At that point there was no idea to start a web comic or anything. Just some random drawings. Then I got sidetracked for a while.

In 2005 I started up again and finalized Deiter and got into a groove and created Stan, Chuck, Xilla and Monkey. I came up with the premise for a comic. And then I got sidetracked.

In 2006 I remembered what I had started and created Shel, Ninja, Joe and Sam. Jesus is still just a rough outline at this point but we don’t need him till a bit later. I wrote a ton of scripts. And then I got sidetracked again.

In 2007 I registered this domain with the hopes that it would spur me to get un-sidetracked. It worked for a bit as I worked on cleaning up a few characters and even toyed with redoing them all. And then I bet you can guess what happened then.

Now it’s 2008 and I’m feeling motivated again. Soon it will be the four year anniversary of me screwing around and playing with MS-Paint. It’s time to get to work.

So who are those people I mentioned above? Well, I’m hoping you come back to find out. I don’t have a launch date yet, but I’m hoping that by Summer I’ll have enough to start posting comics on a regular basis. I have no idea what I’m doing and that’s been part of the reason its taking me so long to get going.

So hopefully I’ll see you back here again. And hopefully when you come back there will be some actual content. And I’ll try my best to not get too sidetracked in the meantime.
