Because of the lisp
All I can really say is: I’m sorry. I’m a sucker for puns and play-on-words kind of jokes. It’s a failing of mine and I’m afraid it’s completely incurable. I’ve seen a doctor for it and they asked me if it was some kind of joke. I said of course it is, that’s why it’s so punny! Then security escorted me out.
Anyway, I think this is the end of the whole blackened Xilla fiasco. Although from what Deiter and Chuck are saying, it may just be the beginning.
But it’s not.

Catching up on the comic reading, your comic is funny.
I did have one problem with this last one, referring to poor Xilla as an “it” makes understanding the comic confusing. Pick a gender for Xilla and use those pronouns for him/her. “It” usually refers to inanimate objects.
Otherwise, keep going. This looks awesome!!

Actually that was intentional. Another upcoming comic will help explain this problem. Stay tuned!

Okay so have you been waiting all along to spring “Goth” zilla on us, or was that a flash of inspiration in the crisping aftermath? Just wondering…

The whole Goth Xilla thing came up as an afterthought I hate to admit. Or maybe I should be proud to admit. If I’d created that whole scenario just for that pun I wouldn’t have been surprised to see people outside my door with pitchforks and torches.

Either way… you deserve a tip of the virtual hat.
